Do You Need a Life Coach Certification in Nevada?

No. Nevada does not license or certify life coaches, and you can coach without a state credential. Counseling is a separate licensed profession: the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists & Clinical Professional Counselors licenses marriage and family therapists and clinical professional counselors, so keep your work out of diagnosis and treatment. See life coaching vs. therapy.

Most Nevada coaches still earn a voluntary credential. The ICF ACC requires 60 hours of coach training, 100 hours of coaching experience (75 paid), 10 hours of mentor coaching, a performance evaluation and the ICF ACC Exam, and costs $175 for ICF members or $325 for non-members.
